COVID-19: The changes, cancellations, and ways to cope
List of canceled or changed events:
- Restaurants are all closed other than takeout.
- Gyms are closed indefinitely.
- Schools have moved online.
- Local sports are forced to either cancel or find a way to move online.
- Cape Coral bike night is cancelled
- Sun Splash is closed until further notice
- The Yacht Club pool is closed.
- 2020 Summer Olympics postponed till next year.
- Travel is pretty much banned, and if you do, you’ll most likely be quarantined.
- The Kentucky Derby was postponed till September 5th
- The 34th annual South by Southwest festival is canceled.
- NASCAR suspended all its racing through May 3rd
- Concerts postponed or canceled.
- Coral Springs Festival of the Arts, scheduled for March 19-22 has been canceled.
- The WWE is still on, just with no audience.
- The NBA suspended its season.
- The Indianapolis 500 has been rescheduled for August 23
- Major league soccer suspended its season for at least 30 days
- Wimbledon will not be held 2020
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that they would temporarily close.
- The Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May, was postponed.
- The 74th Annual Tonys ceremony has been postponed
- All public gatherings in Italy are banned
- The Auschwitz memorial is closed
- Disney is closed until further notice alongside other theme parks.
Florida
Travel outside home: Senior citizens and those with significant medical conditions may not leave home unless for essential needs or to go to an essential job.
Gatherings: No social gatherings in a public space with religious exemptions.
Businesses: Nonessential services are closed to the public. Gun stores remain open.
Quarantines: Visitors from outbreak hot spots, such as the New York tri-state area, must self-quarantine for 14 days.
Beaches/parks: Parks and beaches beginning to reopen across the state.
Bars/restaurants: Dine-out only.
School: Cancelled for the remainder of the school year.
Sports: Potential for a modified MLB season to take place in Florida and Arizona.

- Go on social platforms
