From their top scoring forwards and midfielders, such as Addie McCain and Jasmine Hamid, to their outstanding defenders like Delaney Lindahl, Celia Gaynor, and Laveni Vaka. This team has something to say about them.
This team was first formed in November of 2021 and started practices to qualify as a part of the USL Super League. They first announced their logo, crest, and team name in February of 2024. In August of 2024, their dreams came true when they were donned as a part of the USL Super League.
Currently, Fort Lauderdale United has a record of 9-6-7. This team is new to the professional world and is still adjusting to the substantial changes they’ve had to make. The Super League is one of the top Division One professional women’s soccer leagues, making it a very competitive atmosphere for everyone.
Even though the competition is difficult, Fort Lauderdale United has held its own and has not made it easy for the opposing teams to score. Most of their losses so far have been minor, showcasing their excellent ability to step up when it comes time.
Fort Lauderdale United’s main competition is the Tampa Bay Sun FC. They have played them four times this season, and when playing in their most recent game against them on April 5th, they lost in a heartbreaking battle with a final score of 2-0, ending their nine-game winning streak.
Overall, their fascinating journey is only the beginning, and they are looking forward to growing this season and more to come.
