After a long night of dancing, singing, and sweating, the question most people have becomes ‘what am I going to eat?’ Enjoying a quick meal to energize yourself after homecoming has the same feeling as eating a hot meal cooked by your grandma.
Seeing as homecoming ends at 10 pm, there’s not a whole lot of sit-down restaurants open to go and get a quick bite. Nonetheless, Chili’s is a good example of a restaurant that stays open till 12 AM and offers great food.
Chili’s has been a fan favorite among people since they introduced their infamous ‘Triple Dipper.’ The Triple Dipper is a great meal to share amongst your friends and isn’t too expensive when shared. Chili’s also just has a good vibe to it, and it’s a great spot to end your night.
The only downside to Chili’s is that it is fairly far from Cape Coral High School. There are some closer options, like Wingstop. Wingstop is just across the street from Cape High and has reasonably priced food as well.
Cape High students share a love for Wingstop. Being a top place for kids to go to after school, why wouldn’t they want to go after homecoming? Wingstop has a variety of different wings, whether you’re feeling bone-in or boneless, spicy or savory, or even a chicken sandwich.
Wingstop is not that expensive, and they offer a few different deals every now and again, like the boneless meal deal, which is perfect for sharing. You don’t always have to share, though, who knows, you might be hungry enough to eat all 20 wings on your own.
Speaking of deals, McDonald’s is another good spot to stop at after homecoming to satisfy your craving. Not only is McDonald’s cheap, but it also offers rewards and deals all the time. If you’ve saved up enough points, you could even get a free meal.
With McDonald’s being right next to Cape High, it is usually a hot spot after homecoming. A 10-piece McNugget meal is just about $10, so if one wanted to go somewhere that’s affordable and in a convenient location, then McDonald’s is perfect.
If you’re not feeling chicken at all, Il Primo’s Pizza and Wings is directly across the street. Il Primo’s has great quality pizza and a nice vibe to it. They usually aren’t super packed and can make a great meet-up spot after homecoming.
Pizza is definitely filling, and they offer tons of side options like garlic bread and fries, but if you’re feeling petite, they offer salads as well. They do close at 11 PM, so if you go there, it’s recommended to get there quickly.
If you’re not looking for actual food but a sweet treat, Dairy Queen is a good spot to get some ice cream. Dairy Queen is infamous for their Blizzards and has a wide variety of flavors and mix-ins like Oreos and Kit Kats.
They aren’t super expensive and have a few locations in Cape Coral. The one closest to Cape High is located on Skyline Blvd. Their prices are inexpensive, and they also offer actual food in case you want that on top of a sweet treat.
Usually, all of these places offer some sort of sweet treat, but Dairy Queen definitely takes the cake with their ice cream.
Food is definitely on most people’s minds after homecoming, so if you want to satisfy your post-hoco cravings, hit up one of these spots.
