As the temperature gets cooler and the days get shorter, fall begins to come around and bring all the fun activities along with it.
The first thing that arrives are all things pumpkin. Whether it’s enjoying a pumpkin flavored drink from Starbucks, going to a pumpkin patch, eating your grandmother’s pumpkin pie, or carving pumpkins with friends and family, a pumpkin activity is a must.
There are so many designs that you can carve into your pumpkin and the decorations that they make are worth every grueling hour that cleaning out the pumpkin takes.
Another pastime to do with friends is Friendsgiving. Like Thanksgiving, it’s a meal you share with loved ones except this one is geared towards friends and everyone brings a dish to share. Friendsgiving is especially good if you’re looking for a more affordable hangout that is just as fun.
If you’re into the more spooky aspect of fall, going to a haunted house or trail might be exactly what you’re looking for. There’s about 4 in our area with tickets ranging from $10 to $30.
As long as you can handle seeing blood and being chased by killer clowns with chainsaws, this activity will get you plenty of fun and filled with adrenaline.
Halloween is in everyone’s head when fall begins and there are plenty of things you can do on that day. While going trick or treating might be seen as controversial since it’s usually geared towards younger kids, there’s nothing wrong with dressing up in a costume and stocking up on free candy.
The most fall activity of all though, is a fall festival, of course. It has it in its name and it has everything fall related packed into one location. You can enjoy a caramel apple or a funnel cake doused in powdered sugar while walking around enjoying the cool weather.
While walking, you might find a corn maze you can venture into, just don’t get too lost inside it. Then if the corn maze tires you out, take a hayride so you can sit down and still explore everything to see at the fall festival.
You can also play some carnival games like ring toss where you toss rings onto a bottle, cornhole where you toss bean bags, or apple bobbing where you attempt to grab an apple floating in water with your mouth.
It’s safe to say that there are plenty of activities to keep your fall season busy. They can be enjoyed with friends, family, both, or even by yourself. The temperature drop has dropped and with it some forms of entertainment are found so put on your boots and gloves and have fun during this fall season.
